Poushali Ganguli

I am a health services researcher based in King's Health Economics. My PhD research explores the methods of evaluation for school-based mental health interventions. For this I am evaluating two programmes delivered in primary and secondary schools in the UK.

I enjoy slow-motion multitasking and dabble in all things relating to school mental health, interdisciplinary teaching/learning, data visualisation, and global data models.

My other research interests include child and adolescent mental health, mental health economics, global mental health, and epidemiology.

What I Do

Clinical Trials

I design and conduct economic evaluations alongside clinical trials. This includes drafting proposals, study protocols, statistical analysis plans, report to funders and manuscripts for publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals.

Meta-analysis and Evidence Synthesis

I develop systematic review search strategies and contribute to data extraction, critical appraisal, synthesis and analysis of the results. I also support the Systematic Review Helpdesk for students and staff at King's.

Real World Evidence Studies

I support the development of UK medical research data offerings. This includes validating data, checking data integrity, developing patient profile dashboards, and creating industry-standard clinical code lists.

Teaching

I lead tutorials and seminars on MBBS, BSc and MSc programmes; mark assessments and provide written feedback; support standardisation and moderation activities; supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.

Current Projects

  • MYRIAD: Mindfulness training to enhance mental health, wellbeing and social-emotional behavioural functioning in adolescent school pupils
